Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday to you!
** Edit: I'm sorry this post was late! This is the 2nd time that Blogger was set to automatically post something for me and it didn't publish it! Frustrating. **
I haven't had much time to devote to designing lately. Both of my little boys' birthdays are coming up soon. I'm SUPER busy with art teacher things (AP Studio Art portfolios are due May 6th!! EEEEEK!) and my Etsy shop has been busier than normal. So, I've only managed to complete a small mini-kit this month. Don't forget to head over to the Pixel Scrapper forum to get the rest of the matching freebies!
Honestly, I'm also feeling a bit discouraged at the lack of comments on my blog. Currently, I can see that over 711 people have downloaded my kit from April. Yet, only a hand-full of comments. I understand that not everyone can comment on EVERYTHING that they download each month. I get it. I don't comment on everything either. But, BOY...did I get a lot of comments the one time I was late posting my links (due to a sick baby).
I've had people tell me that they can't get blogger to leave a comment. I've never had a problem with this. All you have to do is click the orange text below this post that says, "No Comments" or maybe "2 Comments" and then a new page loads, you write in the white box at the bottom and click PUBLISH. (You do need to select the account that you'd like to publish under, either Google, OpenID, WordPress, etc.)
The comments, emails, Facebook comments, Etsy convos and even Pixel Scrapper emails that I do receive are almost entirely from people who are annoyed that they can't get my kit to download. I'm not able to control these issues. If you think that the links are incorrect or that I've missed zipping an item, etc, please let me know. However, I can't help you if your computer just won't download the kit. ::::wheeww::: I feel better.
NOTE: If your computer won't download the link, there is really nothing I can do about that. I apologize, but perhaps you can try a different browser or a different computer. Please don't message me. :)
Thank you Erin!
ReplyDeleteThank you very much for your hard work!
ReplyDeleteStupid Blogger, not auto-posting. ;)

ReplyDeleteMy Grandson just celebrated his 6th birthday last weekend and I have a ton of photos. I love this kit. Thanks Erin!
ReplyDeletePS - No problem downloading.
Thanks for sharing, Erin. i love how the kit is gender neutral and yet not overly cheery like some birthday kits tend to be. =)
ReplyDeleteTHANK YOU bunches :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for your part xx
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for all you hard work and sharing with us. THis is such a pretty kit.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for sharing
ReplyDeleteI feel your pain on the comments. I had one nasty one because I made a bunch of coordinating stuff that I put in my shop that wasn't free. *sigh* And of 400+ downloads this month, I've only had 6 comments. But, it is what it is. *hugs* and thanks for your contribution!
ReplyDeleteHappiness is a bright and cheerful Birthday. I visited my 101 year old mother at her assisted living home yesterday. The residents celebrated the 10th Birthday of one of the pet dogs that frequently visits. Other dogs joined in the fun. It was a raucous affair full of laughter and joy. Who would have thought elderly and infirm folks would have so much fun... Your kit will go perfectly with my scrapping of the event. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Erin for your beautiful work
ReplyDeleteLove this kit. Quite festive. Thank you.

Thanks so very much for your gift in the PS May Blog Train!
ReplyDeleteWhew...you have your hands full! Thank you for your time and talent to help me complete my scrapbooks. I just adore your whimsical birthday kit! Thank you so much for your contribution
ReplyDeleteThank you, it's a lovely kit.
ReplyDeleteVery cool. I'm liking the use of green and purple in this kit.

ReplyDeleteThank you, Erin, I think my favourite item is the cupcake paper. So pretty!
ReplyDeleteReally bright and fun! You should be able to use this for the birthday pictures of your children. Thanks
ReplyDeleteThanks so much -- I always look forward to your stop on the blog train!
ReplyDeleteJust taking a moment to say thank you for your free kit. I understand what you're saying about saying "thank you", but don't take it personally. With the amount of free kits, blog trains, etc. available these days, it's exhausting to just keep up with them. The fact that someone actually takes the time to download and use your kit is a compliment in itself. Let that be thanks enough. :-) As well, I have an Etsy store and my customers rarely leave a kind comment for a design that I have taken the time to create and they have purchased. I got over it because they hadn't left a negative comment instead. Be blessed and keep up the good work.

DeleteYes...and No. :) I also have an Etsy shop and I've found that there are a certain percentage of people that generally leave a review. I have to seek them out and ask for reviews and I get a greater response rate. I don't expect 700 comments. :)
DeleteLove your schtuffs! Thanks for sharing this awesome mini (despite the lack of love), it's so fun and festive!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful colors!!! Love the cupcake, curls, balloons and candles!!! The papers are gorgeous!!! Thank you so much for sharing!!!
ReplyDeleteI am sorry about the thank yous!!! I always try to say something nice about a kit.. Because someone took their precious time to make something I want!!! Takes less than 30 seconds to say thank you... While your link is downloading... I don't see a problem!!! But again I am sorry... It was worth your time.. Should be worth theirs!!!
Super cute !! Thank you :)
ReplyDeleteThank you!
ReplyDeleteThanks for a beautiful kit this month as usual. Especially like the candles!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful, Erin! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteThank you :)
ReplyDeleteIt is unfortunate that you have to remind people that we all need appreciation and that, sometimes, just assuming isn't good enough. Thank-you for sharing your gifts as gifts with all of us.
ReplyDeleteBlessed Be.
Thanks for the cute birthday kit. Love it!
